One of the traditions at Disneyland is grabbing a freshly made candy cane from the Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen on Main Street. But be forewarned, this is an especially popular treat that goes fast. If you thought getting a Fastpass for Radiator Springs Racers was difficult, just wait until you try buying one of these freshly made candy canes.
Update: Check out the Disneyland Candy Cane 2012 schedule to see when the sweet treats will be available.
To get one of these treats, you’ll need to arrive at the park before opening so that you can get a wristband. Disneyland typically gives out around 120 wristbands, one per person. Each visitor can purchase one of the $12.95 candy canes. If you have early entry on your tickets, you can often grab a wristband before the park opens to the public. It is common for early entry guests to grab the lion’s share of the wristbands before the general public can rush in.
The five ounce candy canes have a familiar peppermint taste, but the texture is more airy and flaky than the machine made versions you can buy at the grocery stores. This all comes from the candy canes being handmade in the Main Street kitchen.
