With all of the nice weather lately, our family has been spending a lot of time in the backyard. I might prefer a dip in the pool, but my son loves searching around the backyard for bugs and frogs. To help inspire his bug wrangling, I gave my son a few items from Backyard Safari Outfitters. With his scoop net, binoculars, magnifying glass, and critter shack, my son now patrols the backyard in search of critters to collect.
The fun part about all this gear is that it all connects with the cargo vest. The vest has pockets for the field guide, binoculars, walkie talkies, and magnifying glass. There are loops on the vest where you can clip on the mini lantern or other gear. This way, your child can easily carry all of their favorite items and still have their hands free to play in the backyard, beach, campsite, or wherever you go this summer.
During our latest backyard adventure, my son scooped up a grasshopper in his net and then gave the bug a home in the critter shack. The clear sides of the bug carrier made it easy for him to watch the critter while using his magnifying glass. And the lid with just the right sized air holes kept the bug happy, without letting him escape into our home (which we all benefit from).
