After a few weeks of unpacking, we finally had a weekend where we could just relax and have fun. My son and I played football in the backyard. We took the dogs for a walk. And we took time to play with some toys. The latest addition to the toy box is the Hot Wheels Hyper Racer Light and Sound Spin King from Toy State. This car has an impressive light show, which instantly made it one of my son’s favorite toys to play with.
The Hot Wheels Hyper Racer has a translucent body that appears blue, but changes colors at the press of a button. There are several lights in the body of the car that change the vehicle’s color and illuminate in various patterns, creating a neat light show effect. There are three buttons on the roof which set off different effects, which include music and sounds. The best, of course, is the button that sets the Hyper Racer in motion.
This car goes fast and travels fast! We started by playing with the car in the living room and found it would drive all the way through the room, across the kitchen, and over to the other side of the house. Our dogs, of course, loved this and chased after the car. Fortunately, we were able to save the Hyper Racer before the dogs ran off with it.
We also tried launching the car from the top of the stairs, which given the high speed of the car, meant it flew pretty far before landing on the floor below. My son seemed to really like this idea, which I realized probably wasn’t the best thing to have shown him. It sure was fun though.
If your child likes playing with cars, the Toy State Hot Wheels Hyper Racer Light and Sound Spin King is worth checking out. My son loves playing with this car and the light show is very neat.
