Here’s some good news for holiday travelers. The Disneyland Resort has expanded Early Admission from 12/20/12 through 01/04/13. During this time Magic Morning Hours are available at Disneyland every day and Extra Magic Hour is available at both Parks every day.
Magic Morning
The Magic Morning program will let anyone with a 3-day ticket or more into Disneyland or Disney California Adventure one hour prior to scheduled park opening. You can typically use this benefit once if you have a multi-day ticket.
Extra Magic Hours
If you are staying at one of the Disneyland Resort hotels, you can enter the parks an hour early every day of your visit. This perk is called “Extra Magic Hours.”
Making the Most of It
Only a limited number of attractions and restaurants are available inside Disneyland for the early entry program. While it can be nice to ride Dumbo without a wait, you can maximize the early entry benefit by heading to Disney California Adventure instead.
Early entry to Disney California Adventure is one of the surefire ways to beat the crowds for Radiator Springs Racers. You will have the chance to ride the attractions with a minimal wait. And when the theme park opens to the general public, you can just head over and grab a Fastpass for use later in the day.
It is great to see Disney offering this perk during the holidays. The crowds often make it tough to enjoy many attractions during peak times, but with early entry you can pack in a lot more fun without worrying about the crowds.
