My son squealed in delight as the orange and white truck bounced over the rows of race cars. Last night, we had a monster truck rally in our living room and the Road Rippers Piston Thumper was the main attraction. At the press of a button, the engine roared to life, the motorized pistons lit up, and the suped up truck drove over my son’s collection of Toy State vehicles.
Whenever my son has friends over, his collection of cars are the most played with toys. The kids seem to love how each of the Toy State vehicles have lights and sound, with most having a unique motorized action. The Road Rippers Piston Thumper has an eye catching over-sized engine with pistons that pop and light up. The vehicle has simulated engine noises and a soundtrack that also plays when you press the buttons on the roof. We have the Dodge Ram version, but they also make a Ford Raptor version of this toy. And of course, the best part is when the Piston Thumper kicks into gear and drives over everything in its path.
The toy is recommended for ages three and up. I have found that the Toy State vehicles make great gifts. They are relatively inexpensive (retails for $19.99), the 3 AA batteries are included, and the flashing lights, sounds, and music catch the attention of any child. You can usually find them at Toys-R-Us, Target, or K-Mart in addition to online retailers like Amazon.
