Spark Your Child’s Imagination with Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Toys from Hasbro

If you could pick any super power, what would it be? Would you want to fly, turn invisible, or be strong enough to lift anything? When you are a fan of superheroes, it can be tough to pick a favorite. But this week, Spider-Man seems to be the superhero of choice in our household.

In our living room, there is a small space behind our love seat that is a perfect little hiding place for my son. When he plays superheroes, I can always find him back there plotting how to take over the world. I used to do the same thing as a kid, which makes it kind of fun to see him using his imagination to have some fun on the weekend.

There are two main iconic things about Spider-Man: his costume and his ability to shoot webs. Hasbro has a line of toys based on the Amazing Spider-Man 2 that can make your child feel like the Marvel action hero. One of the toys my son played with was the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Spider Vision Mask. The mask is great because your child gets to look the part of the superhero. My son got the giggles each time he would look in the mirror and saw Spider-Man looking back.

The Spider Vision Mask comes with two glowing web discs that let you pretend to take down your foes. When you press a button on the mask, two red lights illuminate and make the disks glow when you through them through the air.

Another fun toy from the Amazing Spider-Man 2 collection is the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Motorized Spider Force Web Blaster. This toy is really fun and my son never seemed to grow weary of playing with it. The Web Blaster has a red-and-blue design that looks like it was cut from Spider-Man’s costume. You wear it on your wrist like a glove so you can fire discs at your enemies. In our household, this meant that Spider-Man needed to shoot discs at me as often as possible.

The motorized toy can shoot the discs at targets up to 20 feet away. This meant that my son could ambush me from the kitchen when I was sitting on the couch in the living room. Of course, I had to borrow the Web Blaster a few times to return the favor. Fortunately, he could take cover in his hideout behind the couch until I had used up my supply of the foam discs.

Hasbro’s toys from Marvel’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 were a lot of fun to play with and seemed to supercharge my son’s imagination. When you look like Spider-Man and can shoot webs like Spider-Man, it is hard not to let your imagination go wild. And with the film coming out on DVD August 19, I’m sure there will be many more children with a sudden interest in this classic superhero.

You can find the Amazing Spider-Man 2 Toys in almost every toy story. I’ve found them at Toys R Us, Walmart, and Amazon. There are quite a few other toys beyond the two I mentioned here. So if your child is a Spider-Man fan, there are plenty of options available so your child can have their own imaginative play at home.
