A Disneyland favorite will disappear April 30, as the final performance takes place at Carnation Plaza Gardens at Disneyland park. The Carnation Plaza Gardens stage has hosted countless musical guests over the years and has been a fun place for dancing in the evenings.
But as tastes change over the years, the space is being replaced with the new Fantasy Faire. This will be a new village square themed area for character meet-and-greets with the Disney Princesses. While we are sad to see a classic area of Disneyland go away, we’re also excited to see the new home come to life for Disney’s most popular characters.
Disney has not announced an opening date for the new Fantasy Faire experience, other than to say it is scheduled to be complete in 2013. The change also means the Disney Princesses will be moving out of their current home in the Fantasyland Theatre, so there likely will be a new stage show moving in there someday.
