Disneyland is remodeling the former Carnation Plaza Gardens into the new Fantasy Faire princess meet & greet area next to Sleeping Beauty Castle. In April, we had a look at the concept art for the new venue. Today, we are given a look at the scale models for Fantasy Faire.
When complete, the Fantasy Faire area will be the new home for Snow White, Belle, Cinderella, and Rapunzel. The current meet & greet location in the Fantasyland Theatre will close August 12. Until the new Fantasy Faire location opens in 2013, the princesses will meet with guests in a temporary location in front of “it’s a small world.”
When the princess move out of the Fantasyland Theatre, the location will begin a remodel in preparation for a new stage show. Disney has not announced details for the new show at this time.
The new Fantasy Faire location will also have a small stage show, where the princesses will share stories with the children. In the evenings, the stage area will once again be used for live bands and dancing.
This looks really great! I was never a fan of the princess area at the fantasyland theater. It was just a big princess makeover area. But this looks like a fun place where I wouldn’t mind taking my daughter to meet the princesses. I can’t wait for it to open.
