Disney is giving guests an early look at the new Fantasyland, including the Be Our Guest Restaurant, during a “dress rehearsal.” This preview phase is anticipated to continue through the official opening on December 6.
The Be Our Guest Restaurant will have an extensive beer and wine menu available for dinner, making it the first location to offer alcoholic drinks inside the Magic Kingdom. The bottles of wine are priced from $35 – $99.
For an extended look around the restaurant, check out this video interview with some Disney Imagineers. The video gives us a first look at the ‘forbidden’ West Wing inside the Beast’s castle. We are also given a look at an enormous music box depicting Belle and the Beast dancing. This is sure to be a popular item for photos.
As shown in the video, diners will find both the enchanted rose from Beauty and the Beast as well as the portrait of the Beast hanging over the fireplace. Petals will magically fall from the rose and, when the last petal falls, a ‘lightning storm’ occurs and the painting of the Beast will transition into the Prince.
Although Be Our Guest is not yet open for dining, guests are able to enter the restaurant and take photos of the main dining room. A huge thanks goes to Suzannah DiMarzio and the Zannaland blog for the use of the photos below.
