We love these time-lapse videos that Disney keeps releasing of the Cars Land construction. In this latest video, we see the installation of the neon sign at Flo’s V8 Café at Disney California Adventure.
There are actually three large neon signs at Flo’s V8 Café. This time lapse video captured the installation of the freestanding sign, which stands 27 feet tall. Imagineers say all the neon signs were built using traditional fabrication techniques, which means glass is used instead of plastic, just like the original neon signs of the past. The sign in this video took 14 hours to install.
We’re very impressed with the neon work at Cars Land. It looks like this lighting will give the area a completely different feel from day versus night. Cars Land opens June 15 at Disney California Adventure park.
