Maybe he heard there was a giant mouse. Or maybe he is just thankful to have nine lives. But somehow, Bob-Bob the stowaway cat managed to survive an hour’s drive to the Columbus airport, a trip through an X-ray scanner, and a two hour flight to Orlando (10 hours total in the suitcase).
According to ABC News, Bob-Bob’s owner, Ethel Maze, wasn’t sure how her kitten got into her luggage before her annual trip to see Mickey Mouse.
“We have a young man who helps out and gets our luggage ready and he said it looked like a suitcase was moving but he thought he was imagining things,” she told ABC News. “We had been up all night getting ready so we thought nothing of it.”
The TSA agents also weren’t sure how the cat slipped past security.
The owner says that the cat was understandably frightened and hid in the hotel room’s bathroom for about seven hours. But he is finally acting more normal now and seems to be enjoying all the extra attention he is getting.
Bob-Bob will be traveling in a pet carrier when it comes time to head home. Considering all he has been through, we think he should ask for a first class upgrade.
