Working From Home? VTech’s Connect to Cell Phone System Helps You Make the Call

Over the past week, I have been giving VTech’s connect to cell phone system a try and it has helped with some of the connectivity issues. VTech’s system looks like a standard desk phone, but operates like a bluetooth headset for your cell phone. Basically, you connect the VTech desk phone to your cell phone via blutooth and then you can make and receive calls using the VTech phone.

The two-year upgrade cycle has been the standard, but AT&T just changed all that with a new program called AT&T Next. In a nutshell, if you sign up for AT&T Next you can upgrade your phone (or tablet) as frequently as once a year. There is no down payment, no activation fee, no upgrade fee, and no financing fee. It is a pretty sweet deal, especially if you are always lusting after the latest phone.

HTC First is Great Smartphone to Keep Families Connected

The HTC First is unique because it is built around the Facebook experience. Instead of having to open an app to see Facebook updates, your home screen is a slideshow of your friends’ photo updates. I know many people who spend hours just scrolling through photos on Instagram. The same is true with the HTC First, as I found that it was easy to flip through photos to get quick updates on what everyone was doing.

Apps We Like: Pic Stitch Photo Collage Maker

Like most of my friends, I use my phone to take photos more often than I use it to place calls. I have a few hundred photos on my phone, and I often use it to upload photos to Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram. One of the apps I have been using is Pic Stitch, which lets you make a quick collage of your photos. It is a neat way stitch your photos together to create a single snapshot of an event.

Ruckus App for Children Makes Travel Easier

Knowing ahead of time that we would be in a no wifi zone, I downloaded the new Ruckus app from iTunes. The app is a virtual store filled with kid friendly storybooks and videos that fully download to your phone or tablet.
