The cost of Disneyland ticket prices has gone up again. Disney is raising prices for single-day tickets and Annual Passports for the second time in less than a year. The new prices affect both the Disneyland and California Adventure parks. The one-day, one-park pass goes from $80 to $87.
The increase to Disneyland ticket prices mainly impacts people who live near the Disneyland Resort and visit for one day, or for those who use Annual Passports to visit frequently. For the majority of visitors who come to Disneyland for a week’s vacation, the price increase is much less obvious. The 3, 4 and 5-Day park hopper tickets remain a great value and have the exact same benefits as before. Disney also discontinued the 6-Day ticket as part of this price change.
If you have already purchased your tickets, you don’t need to pay anything more when you visit. Your tickets remain valid even though you paid less than the new admission price.
If you haven’t purchased tickets yet, there are still a few ways to take advantage of the old ticket prices (for about a week). At the Disney Stores in the mall, they will continue to sell through their existing ticket stock until the new tickets (with new prices) arrive. There is a Disney Store just a few miles away from Disneyland, so just stop by there if you’re already in the area.
You can also get the old ticket prices by visiting a Disney Good Neighbor hotel in the Anaheim Resort area. Similar to the Disney Stores, the hotels will sell through their existing ticket stock (at the old price) until the new ticket stock (with the new prices) arrives. It usually takes Disney about a week to roll out the new tickets to everyone, which gives you a few days to still find places with the old ticket prices.
While no one likes paying more, Disney is holding up their end of the bargain by providing more entertainment for the dollar. The new Cars Land is the most obvious addition. But Disney is also providing more value by opening both parks at 8 a.m. each day and increasing the number of performances for the parades and stage shows.
