Get ready for a weekend of excitement as Monster Jam makes its way to the Tacoma Dome from January 12-14, 2024. Here’s what you need to know about this unique event that combines high-energy motorsports with family-friendly fun.
If you have never been to Monster Jam before, you’re in for a treat. The giant trucks compete in various events, including racing and freestyle stunts. It is amazing to see the 12,000-pound trucks fly into the air, balance on two wheels, or even perform a flip.
Despite the roaring engines and big stunts, Monster Jam maintains a family-oriented environment suitable for fans of all ages. The events are designed to be family-friendly, offering an exciting atmosphere without being too intense for younger children. The Tacoma Dome shows include two events that start at 1:00 pm, which are perfect for families who don’t want to keep their children out too late.
Event Schedule
- Friday, January 12 – 7:00 pm
- Saturday, January 13 – 1:00 pm
- Saturday, January 13 – 7:00 pm
- Sunday, January 14 – 1:00 pm
- Sunday, January 14 – 6:30 pm
Parenting tip: The events are usually loud given the powerful engines and large crowds. You might consider bringing ear protection for your children.
Monster Jam Pit Party
The earlier shows on Saturday and Sunday offer a 90-minute Pit Party ($20 per person) where you can see the massive trucks up close, meet the drivers and crews, get autographs, and take pictures. If your kids love big trucks, the Pit Party is a great way to add a personal and interactive dimension to the experience. You can purchase the Pit Party passes when you buy your event tickets, or they are also offered separately if you decide to add the Pit Party later.
Post Event Driver Meet and Greet
Another great way to meet the drivers comes after the show. The post-event driver meet & greet is where you can take photos, get autographs, and talk with the drivers. The $40 per person ticket includes an official Monster Jam souvenir 3’x5’ checkered flag, which is perfect for autographs.
