When my son grows up, he wants to be Iron Man. Maybe not the playboy billionaire, Robert Downey Jr. side of Iron Man. But he sure wants the fly through the air and blow up stuff side of being Iron Man. More often than not, the movies my son watches begin with the Marvel logo, not a desk lamp bouncing on a ball. Iron Man is my son’s hero, which is why his head nearly exploded when he had the chance to play with Hasbro’s new line of Iron Man toys.
Marvel Iron Man 3 big figure
Iron Man seems larger than life in the movies and my son loved playing with this big action figure of Iron Man in his suit. When you press a button on the leg, Iron Man lights up in several places, just like the movie. I found that this bigger figure was a good choice for my son because it was easy for him to play with, easy to operate, and it held up well when Iron man was attacked by our curious golden retriever. It also looks really neat, so I may have to “borrow” this for my home office sometime.
Marvel Iron Man 3 Motorized Arc FX Gauntlet
After watching my son shoot imaginary enemies with his Iron Man gauntlet, I think he might make a great Tony Stark after all. The gauntlet has an adjustable strap, so it easily fit both my son’s hand and my hand (on the rare occasion when he let me have a turn). It comes with several foam discs that shoot surprisingly far. My son had way too much fun sneaking up on me and then unloading a few rounds of foam discs. This is one of those toys that managed to capture his attention for hours, which means it earns my seal of approval. I just recommend getting two of them so that you can fire back when your son attacks.
Marvel Iron Man 3 Battle Vehicle
Fortunately, my son is still too young to drive. But like his dad, he can appreciate Tony Stark’s fine taste in automobiles. The toy version of Iron Man’s car comes with a small action figure. You seat the figure in a small sled that fits within the car, which then can launch out when Iron Man needs to spring into action. The car has several ports on it where your child can attach and move around various weapons. These also interchange with Iron Man’s arms, so you can give Iron Man a giant machine gun arm if he needs to respond to some serious trouble.
Iron Man has invaded my home, thanks to Hasbro, and my son couldn’t be more thrilled. Iron Man has already stopped several train wrecks, caused a few train wrecks, blown up bad guys, and flown around our house more times than I can count. If your child is a fan of Iron Man, these new toys are well worth checking out.
