One of the best places to grab breakfast is the La Brea Bakery in the Downtown Disney District. The restaurant has been closed for an expansion, but is expected to open in late May.
When the restaurant reopens, two items you’ll want to try are the brioche French toast or the Croque Madame sandwich made with gruyere cheese topped with a fried egg (both on the breakfast menu).
One of the biggest changes made during the remodel is a new exhibition baking area, so you can watch the chefs in action. A wood stone oven will be used to create La Brea Bakery’s new signature focaccia dishes, artisan flat breads, baked pastas, and other made-to-order dishes. And of course, La Brea’s fresh pastries and breads will be in the oven.
