My son is crazy about building blocks and often spends hours constructing elaborate space ships, cars, and trucks. Construction toys are great for encouraging curiosity and I am always amazed at the original designs my son can think up.
Laser Pegs is the latest addition to my son’s building block collection. The lighted construction set works with the building blocks you likely already have, but the special magic is how they illuminate at the touch of a button.
The Laser Pegs kits are relatively inexpensive. I bought the 4 in 1 car kit for only $17 from Amazon. The box included the mobile power base (block with batteries), two Laser Pegs (blocks with light bulbs), and forty-nine construction bricks.
Each of the blocks are made from a translucent material so the light can shine through the entire creation. The kit can be used to create four different vehicles. Best of all, batteries are included.
My son was able to construct the car fairly quickly. I helped him get the batteries and Laser Peg blocks set up for the first time. After that, he was off and running, adding the Laser Pegs to his other building blocks and construction light up space ships and cars.
Laser Pegs offers several types of STEM and STEAM learning toys for children like a monster truck set, an airplane, motorcycle, and helicopter. All of the kits light up using the special Laser Pegs blocks and can be used to add light to other construction building blocks.
