Traveling through Los Angeles this weekend? Be prepared for Carmageddon Part 2.
Last year, the temporary freeway closure for construction set off a panic across Southern California, earning the nickname Carmageddon. This year, another temporary closure is necessary for the same construction project. The closure takes place far north of Disneyland, but it will likely be all you hear about on the news this weekend.
Ramp closures on I-405 will begin as early as 7:00pm PDT on September 28th and continue until about 5:00am PDT on October 1. If you’re flying out of Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) between September 28-October 1st, allow for ample extra time getting to the airport. Your taxi or shuttle may need to take an alternate route.
