Here’s some more beer news from Walt Disney World. Epcot has a new frozen beer concoction that is sure to be a hit in the Florida heat.
The drink is called frozen Kirin and you can get a glass for $8 in Epcot at the Garden House, the Kabuki Cafe and in the Tokyo Dining restaurant.
The “frozen” part is the topping, which is made of beer. The frozen topping keeps the beer beneath it cold for about 30 minutes (according to Disney). But if it takes you 30 minutes to drink a beer, you’re doing it wrong.
The frozen head is a clever idea, even if it does make it a little more difficult to drink the brew. If you’ve ever tried to drink a beer that had way too thick a head of foam, you’ll have the general idea of what it is like to drink the frozen Kirin.
And if you really want to enhance the experience, grab a Disney pimp cup (aka souvenir goblet) from the new Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom. Because if you’re going to drink a frozen beer, you might as well do it in style.

I have just added “drink a frozen Mickey beef in a pimp cup” to my bucket list.
