On June 15, Disney will add an option to have dinner with Ariel, everyone’s favorite little mermaid, at Ariel’s Grotto at Disney California Adventure. Currently, Ariel’s Grotto offers a character dining experience for breakfast and lunch only.
The new “Ariel’s Disney Princess Celebration” will be a royal dinner experience that includes several other Disney princesses. The reservation process is the same, just call the Disney Dine Line (714-781-DINE) or email your reservation requests to dine@disneyland.com.
The only downside is that “World of Color” dining packages will no longer be offered at Ariel’s Grotto after June 14, 2012. There are still several other options for World of Color dining, but we will miss the unique vantage point of watching the show from the patio at Ariel’s Grotto.
Disney has not announced pricing for the new Ariel dinner experience, but we expect it will be in line with other dinner character dining experiences at $40 for adults and $21 for children ages 3-9. The dinner menu at Ariel’s Grotto will likely be a buffet or prix fixe three course menu, with meat, seafood or vegetarian entree options. We’ll update this post when Disney makes the new menu and pricing info available.
