There’s a new Goofy water concert at Disney California Adventure. Goofy’s “Instant Concert, Just Add Water” is a show that takes place along Paradise Bay and uses the water fountains from World of Color.
In the show, Goofy plays the role of a maestro and conducts an invisible orchestra. The water fountains in the bay play along for an entertaining show and concert. The performance reminded us of the old Goofy cartoon shorts, which were full of comedy and entertaining for the whole family.
The nice part about this show is that you can see if from almost anywhere along Paradise Bay. You also don’t need to camp out ahead of time. Just show up when the performance is scheduled to begin.
Goofy will lead the performance from his podium across from the Ariel’s Undersea Adventure attraction. But since this uses the water fountains in the bay, you can easily see the show even if you aren’t standing near Goofy. The show lasts about five minutes and takes place a few times each day.
When we watched the show, we found that it was difficult to locate Goofy because he does not stand out enough from the crowd. That said, you don’t really need to see Goofy in order to enjoy the show. As long as you can see the water, you have a prime viewing location.
We happened to see the show a second time while we were on Mickey’s Fun Wheel, which gave us a unique perspective of the performance.
Show times may vary, but during the summer you can usually see the show at 11:00 am, 12:00 pm, 1:00, 2:45, 3:45 and 4:45 pm.
