Pretend that you are having a coffee chat with a career coach and ask ChatGPT to give you guidance. You can copy/paste your resume into the chat box to give ChatGPT helpful context so that you can get personalized guidance.

Crafting the Perfect Cover Letter: ChatGPT’s Wordsmithing
A cover letter can make or break your application. It needs to shout ‘hire me’ without sounding desperate. ChatGPT can be your muse. I found that it helps to give ChatGPT your resume along with the job description for the role you want so that it can really personalize the cover letter.

Resume 2.0: Optimizing Your Resume with ChatGPT
An outdated resume won’t do you any favors. But with ChatGPT, you can craft a polished, targeted resume, tailored for your dream job. Ask ChatGPT to scan your resume and point out areas of improvement, ensuring you present the best version of yourself.
I found it was useful to give ChatGPT my existing resume and the job description for my desired role. You can then ask ChatGPT to analyze your resume and to highlight any gaps between your background and the job requirements. This helps uncover any gaps you may not have noticed and then you can add any relevant experience to fill in those gaps.
