I first noticed SOL Republic while watching the Olympics. It was hard to miss Michael Phelps wearing the distinctive headphones while he prepared for the competitions. SOL later created a red, white, and blue Phelps edition of the headphones.

The ability to customize the headphones is one of the reasons why they have been so popular. You can interchange pieces to get the color palate you want or just purchase one of the special edition versions. They have several based on college sport teams.
