Summer is the perfect time for a road trip and the Great Wolf Lodge characters have been traveling across the country to visit with guests at each of the eleven water parks. As part of the Wolf Your World Tour, Great Wolf Lodge is giving away a two-night vacation for up to 25 people, plus a dinner banquet for your entire group.
This weekend, our family drove up to Grand Mound, WA to see all six of the Great Wolf characters during the last stop of their tour. And of course, we spent a lot of time in the water park. My son was very proud to make it across all the lily pads in the Big Foot Pass without falling into the water. I gave it a try as well and quickly learned it is more difficult than it looks.
What’s new at Great Wolf Lodge
Over the past few months, Great Wolf has made several improvements to the Grand Mound, WA location. The Cub Club has been moved to the main lobby, where the constant games and activities add a lot of energy into the space. The Howl at the Moon Glow Golf opened in the former Cub Club space on the second floor. A new family interactive maze game, the Great Forest Challenge, opened this summer. And the Lodge has a few other improvements like the addition of private cabanas in the water park, a new Hungry as a Wolf takeout pizza restaurant, and a new home for the Bear Essentials Swim Shop inside the water park.
Wolf Your Wold Tour
As part of the summer promotion, the Great Wolf characters have been stopping at several children’s hospitals, national landmarks, and other points of interest as they crossed the country. It is worth checking out the Great Wolf Lodge Facebook page to see the photos from the tour. It is neat to see the joy that the Great Wolf characters can bring to children across the country.
At the Grand Mound, WA lodge, the tour brought three new characters to the resort: Rachel the Raccoon, Brinley Bear and Sammy the Squirrel. They joined the existing characters (Wiley the Wolf, Violet the Wolf and Oliver Raccoon) for meet and greet opportunities throughout the day and a special story time in the evening.
Sammy was a lot of fun to watch as she interacted with the children. She has a large camera around her neck and used it to take photos of the guests when they stopped to say hello. Brinley Bear seemed to be one of the most popular new characters. He was very animated and even showed off a few dance moves while playing with the children in the Cub Club. I can easily see Brinley becoming a new favorite character at the resorts.
